Pollutec Horizons 2009, the leading future solutions show for environmental and economic challenges, will take place in Paris-Nord Villepinte, December 1-4, 2009.
Key global event for environment professionals, Pollutec Horizons - held this year in Paris - will offer to some 40 000 decision-makers and local authorities comprehensive solutions to meet the environmental and economic challenges of today and tomorrow.
Over twenty (20) Canadian companies exhibiting at the Canadian Pavilion - Canada, country of the year 2009 - will present their innovative technologies in the field of water treatment (ultraviolet irradiation, biology and membrane systems), clean energy (fuel cells, small hydroelectric plants, wind and solar energy, biomass) and more generally environmental management.
An institutional stand, co-ordinated by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, will allow some Canadian provinces – Québec, Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan – to showcase the leading technical centres and clusters involved in the development of environmental technologies.
They will also be presentations on the advantages of investing in Canada and progress Science and Technology.
Four (4) conferences will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd on the various forums of the show and will cover the following subjects:
- Biomass valorisation by biotech process.
- Solid waste management.
- Soils and waters bioremediation.
- Carbon capture and storage.
A 5th conference – in Round Table format – entitled “legislation of polluted soils” will take place on December 3rd at the village “sites and soils” of the UPDS (Booth T 048).
