Facilitation Training and Capacity Building Course

Description

In an intensive skills-oriented residential training, participants are invited to share the intercultural and development challenges from the sector, projects and context in which they work. Relevant participatory models and tools will be applied in creative ways by the participants in situations of progressively advanced levels of complexity and challenge. With support from the facilitation team and from each other, participants work on real issues, create new knowledge, gain new confidence, and strengthen existing skills as well as develop new ones applicable to leadership and facilitation of sustainable development in an intercultural and multi-stakeholder context.

Goals

The course goal is to strengthen leadership and capacity to:

  • Facilitate participation and learning in development programs and projects
  • Strengthen dialogue, collaboration, and shared commitment amongst diverse actors and stakeholders
  • Promote action for sustainable development and beneficial change

Who is this for?

This course is intended for CIDA program/project staff, in-country partners and other key individuals working in CIDA-funded programs and projects in the field.
