Minister Van Loan met with Ron Kirk, U.S. Trade Representative, to discuss greater economic cooperation between Canada and the United States.

Minister Van Loan visited Europe from July 3 to July 20 to highlight Canada’s competitive advantages to European partners.

On June 30, Minister Van Loan announced that legislation to implement Canada's free trade agreement with Colombia has received Royal Assent. Once implemented, the Agreement will benefit Canadian producers, exporters and investors.

Minister Van Loan promoted Canadian economy and technologies while touring Canadian business displays at the Experience Canada pavilion during the G-20 Summit.
