Canada has an office in Kuwait City, Kuwait; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the United Arab Emirates; Tehran, Iran; Tel Aviv, Israel; Amman, Jordan; Beirut, Lebanon; Damascus, Syria; Algiers, Algeria; Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso; Yaounde, Cameroon; Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire; Cairo, Egypt; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Accra, Ghana; Nairobi, Kenya; Tripoli, Libya; Bamako, Mali; Rabat, Morocco; Maputo, Mozambique; Lagos, Nigeria; Dakar, Senegal; Johannesburg, South Africa; Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania; Tunis, Tunisia; Lusaka, Zambia; and Harare, Zimbabwe.
Canada has free trade and science and technology cooperation agreements with Israel. Canada has a pending free trade agreement with Jordan. Canada has air transport agreements with Jordan, Lebanon, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and South Africa, as well as with the Gulf Cooperation Council, which comprises Bahrain, Kuwait, Quatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Canada has a trade and investment cooperation/enhancement agreement with South Africa.
Canada has foreign investment promotion and protection agreements with Lebanon, Egypt, and South Africa, and pending foreign investment promotion and protection agreements with Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Algeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Libya, Madagascar, Mali, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Zambia.
The Gulf Cooperation Council is a priority market for Canada.
