Sparta Innovations’ Portable Scanning Unit (PSU) is a self-sufficient, stand-alone scanning unit similar to an airport screening system. However, Sparta’s PSU can be placed in various locations to accommodate any type of sporting event or venue that requires prior security screening of people and luggage. As Canada’s international contracting and procurement agency, the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) helps Canadian companies access new government-to-government markets and generate export sales on the best possible terms and conditions. In order to do so, the Corporation supports Canadian companies contracting into the aerospace and defence sectors, and those involved in large-scale engineering and procurement projects globally. In 2010-11, CCC actively pursued or signed contracts and procurement opportunities in 68 countries. CCC offers two main services when structuring international contracts:

Prime contractor service: The Corporation signs a contract with the foreign buyer and then subcontracts to the Canadian exporter. The buyer has the Government of Canada assurance that the contract will be completed in accordance with its terms and conditions.

Procurement service: The Corporation acts as a Canadian procurement agent on behalf of a foreign government. CCC manages procurements for the requisite products and/or services. The competitions are open to Canadian suppliers.

Our main objective on this mission is to explore infrastructure opportunities across all sectors in relation to the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games.
