Minister Day participates in OECD and WTO meetings

Minister Day travelled to Paris, France, to participate in important multilateral meetings.

On June 25, he met with Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and World Trade Organization (WTO) partners to address the current state of the world economy and the need for continued trade and investment liberalization.

On June 26, Minister Day delivered a speech to senior business officials from Canada-France Chamber of Commerce.

He also met with France's Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, Anne-Marie Idrac, to reinforce the need for a stronger partnership with France and emphasize the importance of negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement with the European Union.
