Minister Van Loan visited Israel from October 9-10, 2010 to promote trade, investment and innovation between Canada and Israel.

The Minister announced exploratory talks to expand the Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement. Since the implementation of this Agreement, bilateral merchandise trade has more than doubled between these two countries.

During meetings with representatives from the government of Israel and key business leaders, Minister Van Loan highlighted Canada’s competitive advantage as a business and investment destination.
