Minister Day travels to Saudi Arabia and Jordan

Minister Day travelled to Saudi Arabia and Jordan as part of a two-day visit to the Middle East, where he promoted Canadian companies as world-class suppliers of quality goods and services.

While in Saudi Arabia, the Minister witnessed commercial contract signings between Canadian and Saudi Arabian companies and met with several Saudi government officials.

While in Jordan, he signed the legal texts of a free trade agreement (FTA), related agreements on labour cooperation and the environment, and a foreign investment promotion and protection agreement (FIPA) at a ceremony with his counterpart, Jordan’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Amer Hadidi.
