Ministerial Visit to the Middle East
International Trade Minister Van Loan with board members of the Jordanian-Canadian Business Association (JOCABA) at the Canadian Official Residence in Amman, Jordan on the occasion of working session to advance trade and investment between opportunities.

Minister Van Loan visited Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar from October 11 to 16, 2010 to promote Canada’s competitive advantages as a key business and investment destination.
While in Saudi Arabia, the Minister participated in a signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in health care between Canada and Saudi Arabia. This MOU will create a positive environment for Canadian businesses to participate in major Saudi healthcare projects.
On october 14, the Minister addressed the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and met with his trade counterpart and key business leaders.
