Minister Fast Attends OECD and WTO Meetings

Minister Fast was in Paris to attend the annual Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) ministerial meeting, as well as an informal gathering of the World Trade Organization.
The Minister welcomed a new OECD publication confirming the critical role trade plays in creating jobs, growth and long-term prosperity. Trade also benefits families, the Minister said, by providing more choice and selection of reasonably priced goods and services.
While in Paris, Minister Fast was also conducting a number of bilateral meetings with his OECD and WTO counterparts on trade and investment-related issues, including a way forward on the Doha Round.
