Canadian Businesswomen Trade Mission to Austin, Texas

June 22 to 26, 2015

On behalf of the Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women will be leading a Canadian Business Women Trade Mission to the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) annual Conference and Business Fair being held in Austin, Texas from June 22 to 26.

The WBENC National Conference & Business Fair is the largest supplier diversity procurement trade show in North America, with more than 3,000 attendees and upwards of 350 exhibitors. The conference provides a platform for women-owned companies to introduce their products and services, position their company in the marketplace, establish partnerships, network and improve their business skills through educational workshops.

Minister Leitch will lead the multi-sector trade mission to Austin, Texas with more than sixty representatives from over forty companies and organizations. 

The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Development, in collaboration with Status of Women Canada is facilitating this Trade Mission. Through engagement in this trade mission, the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service seeks to provide Canadian business women with supplier diversity and U.S. market insight while connecting them with America’s leading corporations that are committed to doing business with women-owned businesses.
