Regulation – Order amending the Import Control List

On November 29, 2012, the Government of Canada concluded the regulatory process to amend the Import Control List (ICL).

Amendments have been made to items 74, 90 and 91 of the ICL.

Item 74 of the ICL has been amended to reflect amendments to the numbering system utilized on Canada’s Export Control List. 

Item 90 of the ICL has been repealed to remove import restrictions on Group 2 articles of South African origin. 

Item 91 of the ICL has been substantially re-written to reflect its updated legislative references contained in the Criminal Code.
