2014 End-of-Year Supplemental Import Permit Administration

This is to provide additional information regarding the procedures for the administration of supplemental import permits for the end of the 2014 quota year.  This document should be read in conjunction with the Notice to Importers, Broiler Hatching Eggs and Chicks for Chicken Production Supplemental Imports (Items 94 and 95 on the Import Control List), Serial No. 852, Dated November 1, 2013.

1. Applications for supplemental permits for the 4-day period from Sunday December 28 to Wednesday December 31 will be accepted as follow:

• Broiler hatching eggs - between 2 p.m. Thursday December 4 and 2 p.m. Friday December 5
• Chicks - between 2 p.m. Thursday November 20 and 2 p.m. Friday November 21.

2. Typically, applications for supplemental import permits are considered in light of the applicant’s weekly throughput figures. Applications for supplemental import permits for the 4-day period from Sunday December 28 to Wednesday December 31 will be considered in light of the applicant’s weekly throughput figures multiplied by ^4/7.
