EXTRADITION FOR SECURITIES FRAUDS; SUPPLEMENTARY CONVENTION WITH THE U.S.; SIGNATURE | |

24. The Secretary of State.for External Affairs, referring to the discussion at the meeting of September 5th, 1951, submitted a draft supplementary convention with the United States providing for a limited extradition for securities frauds and, with the concurrence of the Minister of Justice, recommended that he and Mr. Garson be authorized to sign. 25. The Cabinet, after discussion, approved the recommendation of the Secretary of State for External Affairs and agreed that he and the Minister of Justice be authorized to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, in the form proposed, a supplementary convention with the United States to amend the convention of December 13th, 1900, amending the Extradition Treaty of August 9th, 1842; an Order in Council to be passed accordingly.121 (Order in Council P.C. 5736, Oct. 25, 1951)? 121 Voir Canada, Recueil des traités, 1952, N°.12./See Canada, Treaty Series, 1952, No. 12. 122Voir/See Volume 16, Document 873. | |
