Sir, When I had the honor of paying Your Excellency a visit not so long ago, I took up with Your Excellency the question of diplomatic representation between our two countries so as to effect a complete normalization in our mutual diplomatic relations. Your Excellency doubtless will recall that You promised me You would take up this matter with Your Government and let me know their opinion as soon as You received it. My country and Government attach great importance to the establishment of normal diplomatic relations with Canada. I cannot therefore overstress our genuine desire for a speedy conclusion of this important matter. May I request Your Excellency to renew Your efforts with Your Government to the end that between Lebanon and Canada diplomatic representation be exchanged as soon as possible?
