Warning: Fraudulent Job Offers, Websites and Emails
It has come to our attention that people are being offered positions at the former CIDA or DFATD through websites with which the Government of Canada is not associated. This situation is under investigation. The former CIDA and DFATD do not ask job applicants to send a photocopy of their passport or money in support of their application.
In another type of scam, emails are sent to potential partners asking them to register to a forum or conference through a bogus former CIDA or DFATD website.
Please note that DFATD never asks participants to contribute financially when registering for one of its conferences.
