Global Affairs Canada (Development) Students: Update of the monthly living allowances (July 2015 – Updated May 2016)

If you manage students at Global Affairs Canada, please note that some modifications have been made to the monthly living allowances for some cities. The May 2016 changes may be applied retroactively to July 1, 2015 following approval from the responsible Global Affairs Canada Program Officer.

If the city where the educational institution is located is not listed above, the basic monthly rate of $1,000 applies.

Only increased rates apply to students already in Canada. Where the monthly rate has decreased from the previously published amount, the new rate will apply only to new students arriving in Canada.
