Figure 3.5 depicts the value of the Canadian dollar and its volatility during 2010.

Trading occurred over a range of US92.8¢ to US100.5¢ for the year. The dollar began the year at US96.36¢ on January 4, 2010, but declined to a low of US92.8¢ on May 25. The Canadian dollar subsequently regained ground, peaking at US100.5¢ by the end of December.
