Figure 4.1 depicts Exports of Goods and Services to Major Areas from 2006 to 2010 in C$ billion.

Exports to the World increased steadily from C$522 billion in 2006 to C$562 billion in 2008, but fell to C$437 billion in 2009 before rebounding to C$474 billion in 2010; exports to the US increased from C$398 billion in 2006 to C$409 billion in 2008, fell to C$307 billion in 2009 before recovering to C$334 billion in 2010; exports to the EU increased from C$45 billion in 2006 to C$53 billion in 2008, fell to C$45 billion in 2009 before recovering to C$49 billion in 2010; exports to Japan was C$12 billion in 2006 and increased to C$13 billion in 2008, fell back C$10 billion in 2009 before recovering to C$11 billion in 2010; exports to other areas gradually increased from C$67 billion in 2006 to C$87 billion in 2008, fell back to C$76  billion in 2009 before rebounding to C$81 billion in 2010.
