Small Business Exports by Destination

This figure depicts the share of the overall value of exports accounted for by small size firms, by export market, in 1999, 2008 and 2009 respectively.

Small size firms accounted for 19.0% of the value of exports to the U.S. in 1999, 22.6% in 2008 and 22.7% in 2009; small size firms accounted for 21.8% of the value of exports to the EU in 1999, 17.9% in 2008 and 23.4% in 2009; small size firms accounted for 29.9% of the value of exports to other markets than the U.S. and the EU in 1999, 31.1% in 2008 and 40.0% in 2009.
