Hosted by the Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT) to facilitate consultation between government and stakeholders in the education community, the National Education Marketing Round Table (NEMR) meetings have become an important semi-annual meeting of government representatives and Canadian international education stakeholders. Representatives attend in person to share important education marketing initiatives, to learn of market developments from DFAIT officers and to present updates of their association/member activities. NEMR provides an opportunity for collaboration and direct contribution to international Canadian education promotion initiatives.
The NEMR meetings are now held in the spring and fall of each year, coordinated with the Advisory Committee on International Students and Immigration (ACISI) hosted by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and often scheduled meetings between federal, provincial and territory representatives in education promotion. Minutes of each NEMR meeting will be posted online with an archive of past meetings forthcoming. For representative details, clarification or presentations delivered please contact Edu-Canada at edu-canada@international.gc.ca.
