President Xi Jinping is General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), President of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Chairman of the CPC Central Military Commission and Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the PRC. Mr. Xi graduated from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Tsinghua University, majoring in Marxist theory and ideological education with an on-the-job postgraduate program, and obtained a Doctor of Laws (LLD) degree. He joined the CPC in January 1974 and started working in January 1969.
