Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade

Pamela Goldsmith-Jones is a lifetime resident and former mayor of West Vancouver. For twenty years, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to citizen engagement. She is known as a bridge-builder, bringing diverse views together through her open and inclusive approach to the creation and implementation of public policy.
As mayor, Ms. Goldsmith-Jones empowered citizens in their leadership efforts. She gave special attention to environmental conservation in West Vancouver, working on projects such as banning the use of cosmetic pesticides, the reduction of solid waste, and the restoration of the foreshore/intertidal zone, for which West Vancouver was awarded the UN Global Green City Award. Ms. Goldsmith-Jones also played a key role in Vancouver’s fundraising efforts for the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Ms. Goldsmith-Jones completed her executive MBA at Simon Fraser University in Aboriginal Business and Leadership. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degree in political science from the University of British Columbia.
In 2011, Ms. Goldsmith-Jones retired from municipal politics and opened her own consulting business.
Ms. Goldsmith-Jones served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs from December 2015 to January 2017.
Ms. Goldsmith-Jones and her husband Geoff have been married for 31 years. They have three adult children.
