Disarmament

Canada has long promoted non-proliferation, arms control and disarmament (NACD) action aimed at promoting security and reducing the threats faced by Canadians and the international community. The Canadian Mission represents Canada at the Conference on Disarmament (CD) and at intergovernmental meetings associated with the principal NACD treaties, including the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW) and the Ottawa Convention on Landmines.
