Environment
Sustainable development is a cornerstone of Canadian foreign policy, that reflects a global concern. Canada is committed to the three interdependent objectives of sustainable development, including the protection of the environment. Be it by the number of multilateral environmental organisations and treaty bodies located in Geneva and Bonn, also under the responsability of this Mission, or the even greater number of of environmental meetings taking place here, Geneva certainly constitutes one of the main international crossroads in the environmental field. The Canadian Mission in Geneva is actively involved in these activities.
