(No. A/122 – July 23, 2010) Canadian and U.S. officials involved in the third joint survey of the Arctic extended continental shelf will hold a technical briefing by teleconference on Monday, July 26, 2010, to discuss the mission.
Canadian officials will include Jacob Verhoef, director of Natural Resources Canada’s extended continental shelf program, and the Geological Survey of Canada’s David Mosher, chief scientist on CCGS Louis S. St-Laurent,as well as representatives of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada.
U.S. officials will include Margaret Hayes, Chair of the State Department’s U.S. Extended Continental Shelf Task Force, as well as the U.S. Geological Survey’s Brian Edwards, chief scientist on USCGC Healy, and Jon Childs, head of the U.S. Extended Continental Shelf Project’s seismic data operations team.
