Minister Cannon to Speak Before Canada-U.K. Chamber of Commerce in London

(No. A/21 - January 25, 2010) The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will speak before the Canada-United Kingdom Chamber of Commerce in London on January 27, 2010. The Minister will be in London to attend a meeting of foreign ministers on the subject of Yemen, after which he will participate in the January 28 London Conference on Afghanistan.

Media are invited to cover the speech, which will focus on Canada-U.K. relations; the importance of the G8/G20 in the lead-up to Canada’s hosting of the G8 and G20 summits in 2010; international security and foreign affairs priorities, including Afghanistan and Yemen; and Canada’s response to the earthquake in Haiti.
