January 17, 2012 - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird will deliver a luncheon address at the Canadian Club of Toronto on Wednesday, January 18, 2012.
Baird’s remarks follow the recent announcement of the Beyond the Border Action Plan by Prime Minister Stephen Harper and U.S. President Barack Obama. The Government of Canada’s top priority in 2012 will continue to be the economy, and Baird’s remarks will outline the advantages and opportunities of the proposed “thinning” of the Canada-U.S. Border.
Baird will take questions from Canadian Club members immediately following his speech and will be available to the media afterward.
