January 20, 2012 - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird will be in London from January 23 to January 25, 2012, and in Davos, Switzerland, from January 26 to 27 to advance the Harper government’s top priority: protecting and growing the Canadian economy and creating jobs.
While in London, Minister Baird will meet with William Hague, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, and other key leaders, including Kevin Rudd, Australia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, who will also be visiting London.
Baird will deliver an address at the Royal Commonwealth Society on January 23. Once delivered, Minister Baird’s remarks will be made available at Speeches - 2012.
While in Davos, Baird will join Prime Minister Stephen Harper as part of the Canadian delegation to the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum.
