(No. 388 - December 16, 2009 - 1:15 p.m. EST) The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced the reappointment of Carol Anne Lee to the Board of Directors of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.
“Ms. Lee is a valued member of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada board,” said Minister Cannon. “Her knowledge in areas such as business and marketing is a great asset.”
The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is an independent, not-for-profit think tank focused on Canada’s relations with Asia. The Foundation brings together people and knowledge to provide the most current and comprehensive research, analysis and information on Canada’s trans‑Pacific relations. It promotes dialogue on economic, security, political and social issues, helping to influence public policy and foster informed decision making in Canadian public, private and non-governmental sectors.
Created in 1984 by an act of Parliament, the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is funded by the governments of Canada and British Columbia.

Carol Anne Lee (BComm, Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia; MBA, Harvard Business School), a Vancouver native, is the president and CEO of Linacare Cosmetherapy Inc., a B.C.-based company focused on developing innovative skin care products. She is a vice-chair of the B.C. government’s Asia Pacific Trade Council, and serves on several boards, including the Vancouver Board of Trade and the Faculty Advisory Board of the Sauder School of Business.
