Canada Offers Condolences Following Typhoon Fanapi in Taiwan
(No. 312 – September 23, 2010 – 8:45 p.m. ET) The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today offered Canada’s condolences to the people of Taiwan after typhoon Fanapi claimed two lives and left more than 100 people injured.
“On behalf of the government and people of Canada, I offer condolences to the friends and family members of those who lost their lives,” said Minister Cannon. “I also extend my sympathies to all those affected by the typhoon.”
