Minister Baird Offers Condolences Following Fatal Explosion in the Republic of Congo
March 4, 2012 - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird today issued the following statement:
“On behalf of the Government of Canada and all Canadians, I offer sincere condolences to the people of Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, especially to the families and friends of the dead and injured.
“As details about the number of casualties and extent of damage become clear over the coming days, our thoughts are with those participating in the recovery effort.”
