Baird Strongly Condemns Terrorist Attack in Yemen

May 21, 2012 - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird today issued the following statement:

“Canada strongly condemns today's terrorist attack that killed dozens of people and injured hundreds during a military parade rehearsal in Sanaa, Yemen.

“This cowardly attack comes at a time when Yemen is seeking to implement important reforms. We stand with the Yemeni people in opposing terrorism in all its forms.

“On behalf of all Canadians, I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the families and friends of those killed in these attacks, and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”
