March 15, 2013 - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird today announced the following diplomatic appointment:

Biographical Note

Judith St. George (BA [History], Queen’s University, 1980; MA [Public Administration], Carleton University, 1982) joined the Department of External Affairs in 1986. Ms. St. George undertook various assignments at Headquarters and abroad, including assignments as vice-consul and assistant trade commissioner at the Consulate General in Minneapolis, Minnesota; second and first secretary at the High Commission in Malaysia; and senior trade commissioner and counsellor (commercial) at the Embassy of Canada to the Philippines. In October 2000, she became consul general in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. From 2003 to 2006, she served in Ottawa as director of the Trade Commissioner Service Renewal Division. From 2006 to 2010, she was minister-counsellor (commercial-economic) and senior trade commissioner at the High Commission of Canada in the United Kingdom. Since 2010, Ms. St. George has been director general of the Trade Commissioner Service Operations and Trade Strategy Bureau. Ms. St. George replaces Randolph Mank.
