Baird Condemns Bus Bombing in Israel
December 23, 2013 - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird today issued the following statement:
“Canada condemns the bombing of a bus near Tel Aviv yesterday. Thankfully, due to the heroic reaction of an alert passenger and the bus driver, no one was killed in this attack.
“Violent acts targeting innocent civilians are despicable and should be widely condemned by all.
“We offer our thoughts to those affected and reaffirm our commitment to stand with Israel in the face of terrorist acts.”
