Rona Ambrose, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Minister for Status of Women, today concluded her participation at the APEC Women and the Economy Summit with a high-level discussion with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other APEC ministers to develop a set of policy recommendations for concrete actions APEC can take to enhance the economic participation of women. The policy recommendations will be incorporated into a broader package of recommendations made to APEC ministers and leaders for their consideration during Leaders Week in Honolulu in November 2011.
