Minister Baird Meets Kazakh Counterpart in New York City

Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird meets Kazakhstan's foreign minister, Yerzhan Kazykhanov, at the 66th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, in New York City on September 22, 2011.
This was the first meeting between the two ministers. The ministers discussed a range of topics, including bilateral relations, economic cooperation, specifically in agriculture, and regional issues.
Kazakhstan is the current chair of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation.
