Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird and High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina Valentin Inzko discuss the political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Dayton Peace Agreement of 1995 ended the fighting in Bosnia and Herzegovina and established the Office of the High Representative, an ad hoc international institution responsible for overseeing the implementation of the civilian aspects of the Agreement. Canada has long been involved in supporting peace, prosperity and good governance in Bosnia and Herzegovina—a role it continues to play in talks such as those held yesterday.
