Baird and Parliamentary Delegation Updated on Situation in Haiti

January 16, 2012 - Port-au-Prince, Haiti - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird, accompanied by Parliamentary Secretary Bob Dechert, NDP Foreign Affairs Critic Hélène Laverdière, and Liberal Foreign Affairs Critic Dominic LeBlanc, are briefed by Canada’s Ambassador to Haiti, Henri-Paul Normandin, about issues and opportunities in today’s Haiti.

The group discussed Canada’s commitment to, and the status of, Haiti’s reconstruction efforts, as well as the volatile political climate and the ever-evolving security situation.
