Baird Celebrates History, Honours Veterans with new ePassport
October 26, 2012 - Gatineau, Quebec - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird attends the unveiling of the design of Canada’s ePassport at the Canadian Museum of History.
The new ePassport is full of iconic images inspired by Canada's rich history. Pages 32 and 33 commemorate the courage and sacrifice of “Canadians in War.”
Reflecting Canada’s long and proud military tradition, the images from some of our country's defining moments. Images include W.A. “Billy” Bishop, the legendary First World War flier, and Canadian infantry fighting alongside United Nations forces in the Korean War.
