Baird Meets With Non-Resident Ambassadors Accredited to Canada

January 21, 2013 - Washington, D.C. - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird meets with 26 non-resident ambassadors accredited to Canada to discuss the Canadian government's domestic and foreign policy priorities.

Baird advised the ambassadors that many of Canada’s initiatives and priorities centre on generating jobs and growth and increasing trade and investment flows between Canada and the United States. Examples include the Beyond the Border and the Regulatory Cooperation Council action plans, the Detroit River International Crossing, the Keystone XL Pipeline and the comprehensive Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations.
