Baird Meets New U.S. Counterpart
February 8, 2013 - Washington - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird meets with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in Washington, D.C.
Baird said he looked forward to working with Secretary Kerry on issues of great importance to both countries.
The two men discussed bilateral initiatives that will create jobs, growth and opportunity on both sides of the border, including the Detroit River International Crossing, the Keystone XL Pipeline and the Beyond the Border pact.
Baird and Kerry also discussed ways to collaborate on some of the pressing security challenges of our day, notably Iran and Syria.
