Promoting and Protecting Canada’s Interests and Values at NATO
April 23, 2013 - Brussels - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird represents Canada at the NATO Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Brussels.
“The important global security challenges we face today underscore the strategic importance of our alliance,” said Baird. “Canada remains concerned about the global security threat posed by conflicts in the Middle East, North Africa and, in particular, Iran. We will continue to work with our allies and international partners to address the challenges we face.”
Canada is a key player in NATO. Our priority is to ensure that the alliance remains modern, flexible and agile in the face of global security threats.
