Baird Meets Colombian Counterpart

July 31, 2013 - Bogotá - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird meets his Colombian counterpart, María Ángela Holguín Cuéllar.

The two ministers exchanged views on further strengthening commercial ties; hemispheric and multilateral issues; and Colombia’s continued efforts to curb violence and promote security and peace within a framework of human rights and the rule of law.

Baird is on a 13-day trip to Latin America to advance Canada’s engagement in the Americas—a foreign policy priority with a vision of a more prosperous, secure and democratic hemisphere.
