Low taxes, reducing unnecessary red tape and opening new markets are key to creating jobs, growth and long-term prosperity for manufacturers and exporters
July 30, 2013 - Mississauga - The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade, accompanied by Brad Butt, Member of Parliament for Mississauga-Streetsville, today outlined the many ways the federal government is supporting Canada’s world-class manufacturing sector while meeting with workers and representatives of Lynch Fluid Controls Inc.’s world-class manufacturing facilities.
Manufacturers are major contributors to the Canadian economy, employing approximately 1.8 million Canadians in a wide range of industries across Canada—from aerospace to automotive and machinery, and from food processing to shipbuilding.
Lynch Fluid Controls, a privately owned company, designs, manufactures and distributes high-quality hydraulic motion control systems, which are sold to domestic and international customers.
“By keeping taxes low, cutting red tape and promoting Canadian exports in dynamic and fast-growing markets around the world, we are helping companies such as Lynch Fluid Controls succeed in today’s competitive global economy,” said Minister Fast. “Our government will continue to support Canadian manufacturers through initiatives that will unleash their potential to innovate and compete in the global economy, which will benefit hard-working Canadian families for years to come.”
