Minister of State Yelich Attends Canada-India Business Group’s Annual Forum

November 29, 2013 - Mumbai, India - The Honourable Lynne Yelich, Minister of State (Foreign Affairs and Consular), delivers the welcome address at the Canada-India Business Council (C-IBC)’s Third Annual Business Forum. The Forum is one of the C-IBC’s signature events.

India is a priority market for Canada, and Minister Yelich highlighted the importance that Canada is placing on the bilateral relationship, which is enhanced by the vibrant Indo-Canadian diaspora.

She also highlighted the many opportunities for bilateral partnerships in areas such as education, energy, infrastructure, agro-industry, and information and communications technology.

The C-IBC is a member-driven, not-for-profit trade association dedicated to promoting the interests of global companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, and academic and government organizations engaged in the Canada-India bilateral relationship.

Minister of State Yelich is visiting Mumbai and Delhi to meet with government and business leaders in order to further bilateral and commercial ties between Canada and India.
