Minister Fast Attends WTO Meeting in Davos

January 25, 2014 - Davos, Switzerland - The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade, attends the WTO Informal Ministerial Gathering on the margins of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Minister Fast and his WTO counterparts welcomed the meaningful progress reached in December in Bali, Indonesia, and discussed the best way forward for the post-Bali work plan.

While in Davos, Minister Fast has a busy schedule of trade- and investment-related meetings, during which he is highlighting the role that open markets play in contributing to jobs and opportunities in Canada.

The WEF is an annual meeting that brings together the world’s top decision makers from government, business and civil society. This year’s meeting is taking place in Davos, Switzerland, from January 22 to 25.
