Minister Yelich Speaks at 2014 Astana Economic Forum

May 22, 2014 - Astana, Kazakhstan - The Honourable Lynne Yelich, Minister of State (Foreign Affairs and Consular), (third from left) participates in a panel discussion, at the Astana Economic Forum, on women’s leadership in economic and political life.

The high-profile annual Astana Economic Forum was created in 2008 to bring together world leaders, academic experts and prominent business representatives to find solutions to global economic and social challenges.

During her remarks, Minister Yelich spoke about the growing and important role of women in Canada’s political and economic spheres. She also talked about her personal experience as a senior member of the Canadian government.
