Minister Blaney Visits HEC Montréal

May 24, 2013 - The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Minister for La Francophonie, visited HEC Montréal (École des hautes études commerciales [school of advanced business studies]) to learn about EDUlib, a new, free, online university-level educational platform  geared toward francophone students in Canada and around the world.

A success since its launch last October, the platform, an initiative of the school, provides free, high-quality university education, in French, in the field of management. More than 11,500 users from some hundred countries are already enrolled in the courses.

Minister Blaney met with Michel Patry, the school’s director, to discuss HEC Montréal’s role in the French-speaking world. He also attended an onsite demonstration of the innovative program.
