Ambassador Bennett to Host Office of Religious Freedom’s Inaugural Seminar

October 22, 2013 - Andrew Bennett, Canada’s Ambassador of Religious Freedom, will host and deliver opening remarks at the inaugural Office of Religious Freedom Seminar in Ottawa.

This seminar is part of the Office of Religious Freedom’s mandate to engage in dialogue with experts and faith community leaders on various topics related to the protection and promotion of freedom of religion. It will focus discussion on why religious freedom matters in the current international environment.

Guest speakers will include Tony Blair, former U.K. prime minister and Patron of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation; Brian J. Grim, Senior Researcher, Pew Research Center; Katrina Lantos Swett, Vice Chair of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom; and Father Raymond de Souza.
